Oklahoma Flyers (or “Flyers”) is a program designed to provide the youth of Oklahoma City access to riding, racing, and the enjoyment of cycling. Volunteers provide guidance and direction for first-time riders and some tips and tricks for our more adventurous and skilled riders. Oklahoma Flyers is in place to provide young athletes the tools they need to be a successful cyclist and citizen. Go check them out on May 6th at Lake Arcadia.
The store will be closed today along with the rest of the city. I (Zack) will be here at the shop most of the day catching up on things so, if you have a bike in for service and you want to pick it up, give us a call or send a message on Facebook. We will not be taking any walk in traffic today. We are sorry if this causes you any inconveniences but, this is Oklahoma so you know we will be open tomorrow. Enjoy the snow day!
We will be hosting the Scott Demo Team at Bluffcreek Trail in Oklahoma City on March 11th. The event starts at 10am and runs until 4pm. Scott will have a selection of high end mountain bikes for you to test. Bring your helmet and if you want to clip-in, bring your shoes and pedals!
Winter is the slow season for all bike shops in OKC, which means super fast turnaround times on repairs! Getting your bike tuned now means it will be ready for the season, then you only have to worry about getting back in shape!
Bike packing can be grueling and miserable at times, but the sense of accomplishment afterward is always worth it. Riding the Tahoe Rim Trail from Mt. Rose to South Lake Tahoe, and fishing along the way, this was most definitely the case. Bikepacking with @bikeonscott and @freehubmag: http://bit.ly/TourdeTahoe
“Better late than never,” the saying goes… As we embarked on a bike packing and fly fishing tour of the Tahoe Rim Trail with @bikeonscott and @freehubmagin October, this became our reality. However, in the Sierras, the trails, lake and views are always amazing—no matter how far behind schedule you may be.
Maximizing the fun per mile—that’s often really the only thing that counts. Bikepacking with @bikeonscott and @freehubmag from Mt. Rose to South Lake Tahoe, the pace was slow and the fish were non-existent, but the good times were plentiful.
SCOTT triathlete Flora Duffy’s season was as perfect as they come. She became only the second woman to have won six races in a season. She also recorded the widest winning margin in series history by 1min 51sec to second place in Yokohama in May, and followed that with the widest winning margin in a sprint race in Hamburg by 31 sec. Now she has also added a second World Triathlon Series title to her impressive palmares, which also includes three X-terra World Titles. #NOSHORTCUTS
